Guillermo Sosapavon likes to help people experience things that aren’t there — yet.
Sosapavon, a 澳门足彩app Project Associate, has a passion for 3-D virtual design and architecture. It’s something that began when he was growing up in Mexico City.
“I’ve always liked design, architecture, visualization and animation, technology and artistic things,” Sosapavon said.
That was the reason he chose to study architecture at Universidad La Salle in Mexico City.
“I wanted a profession that gives you a lot of fields you can focus on,” he said. “With architecture, you can be in construction or design or a lot of things. I use my architectural knowledge in Design and 3-D visualization.”
Sosapavon worked in 澳门足彩app’s Mexico City office for a couple of years and then left to study 3-D visualization at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in Toronto.
When he returned to Mexico, he returned to 澳门足彩app, where he worked with Design Director Antonio Valdivia.
“He was doing 3-D imaging for everyone in the company,” Valdivia said. “He’s very detail oriented. The presentations he helps us put together help us keep winning projects.”
In 2013, 澳门足彩app offered Sosapavon a job in Jacksonville, where he’s a member of the CPG Architecture and Engineering (AE) Facilities team. He’s worked on various projects, including offices, warehouses and production lines.
Senior Design Manager Janel LeGard said Sosapavon had created a niche.
“Once he understands the concept of what the client wants, he adds visualization to give it realism. He has it down — material, wallpaper, furniture — total realism,” LeGard said. “He also does virtual reality so the client can see what it would be like to walk through the space.”
Sosapavon said he is getting back to the more technical aspects of his architectural know-how and is considering getting his license.
When he’s not working, you’ll find Sosapavon volunteering at Animal Care and Protective Services. 澳门足彩app encourages and supports team member volunteerism through allowances for their donated time.
“I’ve always loved animals, and when I moved here, I thought it would be a good place to work with animals and practice my English. If you listen to different accents, it makes you more fluent.”
The work can be challenging and emotional, he said. “If you are into animal welfare, you understand the good and bad stuff that is happening to these animals.”
Also during his spare time, he indulges in his love of 3-D visualization to study others’ work online, which helps him stay abreast of the constantly changing world of 3-D technology. Change, he said, was the most challenging part of 3-D design, but it was also his favorite.
“I’m mostly self-taught on 3-D software, but if I want to do something, I go find a program that can do it,” he said. “I follow people online who are doing projects. And I watch animation or shorts to see what people are doing. It’s fun. You learn a lot from other people.”

What drew you to your career?
My interest in design, new technologies and artistic expression.
Where is your favorite travel destination, and why?
Toronto, I lived there for a year. I love that city, the vibes and the very diverse way of life.

Many. I don’t have one in particular. I take little things from many people.
